Ground Bison Meatballs

These meatballs were SO yummy. I used the ground bison from Force of Nature. The flavor that bison meat provides it greater than ground beef. Bison also feels lighter since it is less fatty then ground beef.

RECIPE CARD

TIME: about 45 minutes

 INGREDIENTS

  • 1 small yellow onion

  • 4.5 oz tomato paste

  • 14 oz ground bison

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup shredded parm

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Turn oven to 400F. Line sheet pan with silicon mat or parchment paper.

  2. Dice onion.

  3. In a large bowl, combine bison, tomato paste, onion, egg, shredded parmesan, and garlic powder. Mix until thoroughly combined.

  4. Using a cooking scoop, portion meatballs onto a sheet pan.

  5. Cook for 15 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 15 minutes. Internal temp should be above 160F.

  6. Ready to serve! 

SERVE WITH: pasta or mediterranean bowls!!
