Chili is the perfect winter meal prep recipe. I like this particular chili recipe because the ground bison makes it lighter if you want to use the chili as a lunch recipes, but also is grounding for the winter. This is also a great recipe to keep in your refrigerator for dinners when you have a busy week ahead.

RECIPE CARD

MAKES: 6-8 servings

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb ground bison 

  • 1 yellow onion diced 

  • ½ tbsp paprika 

  • 1 tbsp chili powder 

  • ½ tsp garlic powder 

  • 1 tsp oregano

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a medium saute pan, add ½ tbsp olive oil, onion, and ground bison on medium heat. Cook until onion is translucent and ground bison is thoroughly cooked. 

  2. In a crock pot, add diced tomatoes, chili beans, pinto beans, ground bison & onion mixture. 

  3. Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 5 hours. 

  4. Place in meal prep containers or serve.
