Asian Beef Lettuce Wraps

Lettuce wraps are an easy recipe that can be extremely light. Plus, you can pack in vegetables. The meat and vegetable mixture can be served with a plethora of sides. In this recipe, I served with lettuce and rice! Also, this is a great high protein meal prep recipe.

INGREDIENTS

SAUCE

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • ¼ cup coconut aminos

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • ½ cup hoisin sauce

  • 1 tsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

MEAT MIXTURE

  • 14.5 oz ground beef

  • 2 cloves garlic - minced

  • 1 yellow pepper – diced

  • 1 red pepper - diced

  • ½ chopped yellow onion

  • 1 cup chopped broccoli

  • ½ cup chopped green onion

 FOR SERVING

  • Buttered lettuce

  • White rice

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine all sauce ingredients and stir together. Set to the side.

  2. In a large sauté pan, add some olive oil. Then add minced garlic and onion to pan. Allow to simmer on low for 3ish minutes.

  3. Add the peppers and broccoli to the sauté pan. Allow to simmer on low for an additional 5 minutes.
    Turn the pan to medium heat. Add the ground beef.

  4. Once the ground beef is about halfway cooked, add the sauce mixture. Stir thoroughly.

  5. Continue to cook until vegetables are desired texture and ground beef is thoroughly cooked.
    Serve!
